I managed to lose a a pound but admit to falling off track a few times! I know I shouldn't make excuses but the hormones were raging and the chocolate was calling my name! Thankfully, I maintained my weight and still lost 1 pound so that's saying a lot. Back on track...

We are all human and fall "off" once in a while. I have to say, I've been okay but my downfall is when everyone is asleep and Im up===thinking of the day, watching the tube and munching....I need to STOP that trend and fast! Anyone else have this issue which sabotages all of our work? Thankfully I still try to keep those snacks within my 1700 calorie limit per day...but its not just about that, its about eating healthier and we know junk food holds NO nutritional value at all!

I have to admit, I wasn't as diligent with recording my portions and being honest with myself about what I was eating over the past couple of days. We have been snowed in here and its been a challenge as I am typically much more busy running errands, working in the yard, etc but since we are stuck in the house..I've made excuses for snacking! Good news is: I ran/walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes so I feel so much better AND I planned out my meals! I think that's a big part of it...planning. In the end, Im responsible or what goes in my mouth!!! My husband made a good comment too: When you get ready to eat ANYTHING, ask yourself if the item is truly worth the calories it will consume. If not...DONT eat it! Also consider fiber content so you feel more full! This is helping me tons. I need to find some Chia Seed as I hear a sprinkle of this on top of any foods will fill you longer....straight fiber is the best! :)

Gotta toot my horn and remember this feeling of stepping on the scale and being down another 2lbs! It makes all the counting and exercise worth it!! I am hopeful I can continue this path. It has taken some preparation on my part but I'm doing it. No more excuses. This is my year-is it yours??? Buddy me if you're serious about your weight loss! :)
