I'm back! It has been a rough couple of weeks or so. Sorry I haven't been active. I kinda went into a tailspin after my uncle passed away. He was my last uncle. In the course of a little over 13 months, we lost my father and his 2 brothers. With this uncle, he was a 'double uncle. He was my dad's brother, and he was married to my mother's sister (we lost her in 1995). I did some overeating. I did one day of eating whatever the heck I wanted, which included a medium blizzard that made me sick for 4 days.
I haven't weighed since I don't know when. But I have been eating right for the past 4 or 5 days. I haven't gotten all my water in, but I'm workin' on it. I'll start recording my food again, hopefully tomorrow. I'm doing a yard sale, but I'll try to remember. I plan to weigh on Monday. I hope I haven't gained too much. Right now, I can't even get to my Wii coz of all the yard sale stuff in my living room. The good thing about all this is that, yes, I did overeat lots of days, and yes, I did have a blowout day, but nothing like my old binges. And that blizzard made me sick enough, I don't think I'll be doing anything like that again for a very long time.

Today was my uncle's funeral. Funerals are never fun, but this one had an extra heaviness to it. In just 14 months, my father and his 2 brothers died. The only one left from their family is my aunt, who was looking decidedly shell shocked. I didn't know what to say to her, so I just hugged her.
The good news is that I stayed 100% on track with diet. There were deli meats and cheese and a veggie tray at the dinner after. There were lots of other goodies, too, but I steered clear of them. I'm rewarding myself with a diet wild cherry pepsi this evening.
More good news. My step-dad, who rarely says anything about anyone's appearance, told me I am "looking good", to keep it up. I actually wore makeup today for the first time in 2 years. I just haven't felt like putting lipstick on a pig. I even 'put on' eyebrows. lol.

I'm still feeling a bit rocky from that gallbladder attack I had, but better than yesterday and the day before. I'm below 250! After that gain last week, to drop 6 pounds this week is a huge boost! I know part of that is because I was so sick for a couple of days. I don't recommend it as a weight loss plan. lol
My uncle passed away yesterday. He was the last of my father's brothers. Now, we're down to just his sister out of his family. It's sad, butt he was suffering so much that it's actually a blessing. I'll have challenges with family gatherings and food. Church ladies don't know how to cook atkins-friendly. And why should they? This is a time for comfort foods. It doesn't mean I have to eat them, though.

I'm better this morning, though I have that run over by a steam-roller feeling. I'm sore from all the retching. The area over my gallbladder is very sore and tender.
Beef broth helped a lot. I managed 2 cups before falling asleep again and another first thing this morning. I also got down a little turkey deli meat. I have some SF jello setting up in the fridge.
I'm going to have my son go out and buy me some boneless, skinless chicken this morning. When my little rat terrier has an upset tummy, the vet puts him on boiled chicken and rice. I'll forgo the rice, but I will have some boiled chicken today. Very light on the spices. Probably just a little salt. Bland and low fat, that's what today will be for me.

Well, now I don't know what to do about my food today. I had what I think is a major gallbladder attack and spent about 5 hours heaving up just about everything I ate in the last day and a half. I slept for a couple of hours after that. I'm better now, but all I'm risking is tea with stevia. Maybe a little beef broth in a bit.
