Been sick for past few days...weight gain was crazy. Gotta get back on the horse now before it all comes back. Been knocking out my stress point one by one. It was hard to weigh myself today but I had to confront the weight gain. If you don't know then you assume its all good...its not.

Working on lessening my stress and also looking to incorporate exercise/walking to help me cope with the stress. Also am investigating desiccated thyroid to treat my hypothyroid instead of Synthroid. my initial research is showing a ton of people who left synthroid to a dessicated natural thyroid (armour, Thyroid-s, efra, etc. ). I will let everyone know how that goes. I have ordered some Thyroid-S and will see if that helps regulate my hypothyroid condition. I hope that it will help kickstart my metabolism.

They say recording your thoughts is cathartic. Let's see if it works that way for me. Been feeling super stressed lately. I helped my wife set up her own business and as with any new business its slow to grow. That stress of the new business growth has been making me stressed because I am always the positive one and the one who tries to paint the best picture. Add to that stress, I recently started with a start up and the work environment has been great but, as with any leadership role, there are detractors who want to see you fall flat.
Now, how does the all that stress affect me? Well, typically, when I get stressed I turn to food for comfort. I turn to carbs..breads, rice, pasta, etc. I know...i REALLY know that carbs cause me to gain weight quickly. I also know that I shouldn't engage in carb-fests. But when the stress levels get to high I feel like I need a carb fix. Food is addicting and I can admit that I have a carb addiction.
Now, I am slowly starting the salad at lunch routine. Next I have to do away with the morning bagel and then eliminate carbs during dinner....I know that is the right path. I just have to set my mind straight. Get my stress level down and my positivity back up.
AHh, I do feel better now that I have spilled my stress beans on this journal entry.

Lol...so its so cold outside..didn't feel like eating a cold salad and instead had some chinese food. Steamed rice is a huge carb...ugh. Belly feeling good. Hopefully, I can burn some of this off. Bitterly cold, nice day for some warm food.

Ok, back off a hiatus. As expected, gained weight. In all honesty I thought it would be worse. Back on the horse today, my expectation is that my weight loss will accelerate once spring is back and I can get to spend more time outside. Also, I am aware that my employer is trying to negotiate with a gym located downstairs, I hope to join it and start to add that to my morning routine.
Anyway, back and ready to roll...
