Hello all, I have been at this now for 2 months. I started my weight at 229. My history is this, I used to be very competitive at kick boxing and taekwondo. Over the years I have had several major setbacks including a severe concussion, lingering back pain and joint pain due to past injuries and arthritis. I have decided to not let any of this stand in my way. Every Morning possible, I get up at 4 am and go to local Krav Maga gym (Xtreme Krav Maga of St. Louis) and do between 10 and 20 2 minute rounds of heavy bag conditioning, kicking and punching using the Bas Rutten Tai boxing dvds. We then do ab and strength training usually for 20 minutes followed by 30-40 minutes of Krav Maga which is a stress based self defense system. I have not been to work out with weights for over 2 months due to back issues but am starting tomorrow. I have changed my diet to a very low carb diet. I was a heavy snacker of chips especially and fast food and junk food. I have given all that up, as well as potatoes and rice. The rice is the hardest and I will gradually increase my intake of that. I eat a lot of salads. Tomorrow I will start tracking exactly what I am eating and drinking. I want to get to 190, and improve my stamina.
