Thats a good plan, but honestly, its not that hard to go from eating 300+ carbs a day to full keto diet. I started mine on January 2nd of this year, and it was an overnight change. The cravings were hard at first, but after a while, they are nonexistent.

I started my diet at 100 carbs a day too, but once I really put a little effort into finding low carb alternatives, it was easy to bring that down. I'm not technically doing Keto, but I try to keep my net carbs under 30 for the day now. I went from 300+ as well. Literally everything I ate was carb laden to the max. Look up Keto recipes anyway. It's amazing what low carb things you can make!

You can do it!! Just slowly decrease your carbs every week...maybe go down 50g a week until you reach the keto level if you’re not comfortable with abruptly dropping them. Your body will thank you and the weight will drop off! So many are successful with this type of diet—it’s the best diet I’ve ever done and honestly I enjoy eating low carb high fat! Lifestyle change not just a diet for me anymore. Good luck!!

I agree. I aim to keep mine around 50 gms and the scales are responding. I even had Chinese take out last but chose to eat the prawns and bbq pork first. Frankly that pretty much filled me up so I only ate a couple of bites of rice and chop suey. Gave the rest to the dogs, lol. Still showed a weight loss this morning. Stoked!

I am very picky but am interested in LCHF. Any resources for list of foods I can skim to see what I am willing to eat/try?

@Lopez, just google "Keto diet foods" or "LCHF food" and you will see a bunch of sites that have lists of foods and their carb count. Most basic, stay away from processed food, anything with grain or sugar, highly sweet fruits, potatoes and root vegetables. Eat healthy fats, olive oil, avocado, beef tallow/lard, butter and high fat dairy. Stay away from anything "fat free".

I do low carb too but it is not keto. But try to not eat any "white carbs". Nothing made from flour . So no breads, pastries, rice potaties or pasta. I have been losing slowly and do not Get so hungry during the day. because I do not want this to be a diet but a way of eating that I can live with.

Going low carb is a b*tch. Easing into it should make it easier. But I didn’t lose my cravings for carbs and sugar until I switched to Keto. Which is 10-14 carbs for me
