I am struggling soooo much atm. my hormones are all over the place from the weight loss and I am constantly bloated and have HUGE cravings. So my weight loss has been sooo poor. Still going strobg but struggling so much 😭

Hi there, I've recently joined the gym and started to deal with my weight. I started having huge food cravings and then I decided to feed the craving when I felt that feeling, (resisting was proving futile) - with a small tin of serena lite tuna and/or a protien shake. Both are low in calories, but the craving monster subsided pretty quickly after consumption! *phew* best of luck with your cravings!

My pleasure! Actually, let's face it....tuna isn't the best tasting food in the world, but for me it definitely hits the hunger spot like nothing else I've yet tried. If you find anything else, let me know. I'm keen to find a good alternative!

Hi Ladies , what do you think ? Can a glass of Metamucil drink help to fight hunger? It fills the stomach , is low in calories and rich in fiber.

Hi ladies,l believe from what l have learnt and been told that if you eat more protein you won’t feel so hungry. Have you tried making the seed n nut choco coconut balls they are yummy but don’t eat to many 😊 Good luck

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with cravings. Have you considered incorporating homemade sauerkraut, beet kvass and kim-chi into your diet? Great probiotics which may help with those dreaded cravings. I also make my own bone broths which have also helped.

can relate to menopause throwing you out of whack. Good quality supplement and probiotics worked wonders for me. I agree with high protein and source carbs from vege avoided processed carbs and sugar.

I also really believe in Probiotics. My morning routine is chia with lemon juicr on an empty stomach (I have IBS) coupled with a Blackmore probiotic, a multivitamin and some magnesium. the Magnesium really help with my sweets cravings.

That's good to hear you're using probiotics too. I used to struggle with cravings particularly with chocolate but since I've been using my homemade sauerkraut etc it seems to be helping me alot, plus I did a Candida Cleanse and Parasite Cleanse, which helped no ends. I rarely get cravings these days.

My partner has IBS really severely and following the FODMAP recommendations has helped enormously. Not to shade anybody who has had benefit in other ways....but it's the only real IBS treatment that has been scientifically proven (the method was created in Monash University)

Mistycloud, I wish I could stomach Sauerkraut. My partner is part German, he eats it often, to my dismay. My stomach turns and I get hectically nauseous when I just smell it. So thats a no go for me. But I am glad it works for you. I upped my protein the past 3 days and I have been losing weight again which is great!

Ill have a look at FODMAP. I dobt have it severely luckily but I have a friend that has it horrible. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi Lolla89, I'm sorry to hear you're unable to eat sauerkraut, I know it has histamines (or something to that effect) in sauerkraut so perhaps that's why your body can't handle it. Fantastic to hear you're losing weight again with having protein in your diet. I also find the same when I add protein, as well as fibre. Been lovely chatting and I wish you all the best. No worries, in Australia the supermarkets are starting to recognise low FODMAP as a "thing" and putting a little roind, green sign on some of the food packaging (to make it easy to find). We also cook from a cookbook by Sue Sheppard, and it's the best cookbook I've had....so many delicious meals! Good luck going down that rabbit hole. It has given so much quality of life back to my partner, it's incredible!
