I went on the Alzheimers Memory Walk today.. My kids Grandmother had Alzheimers and died 2 yrs ago.It was early morning and she was getting ready for a family portrait..Her caregiver was not scheduled to come that Saturday..She got dressed in her nice outfit and decided to wait for the family OUTSIDE She locked the door behind her..She sat on the porch with no coat in minus degree temp(-0).for hours,not understanding the appt. was in the evening....When her son came to pick her up...She had froze to death! It was devestating..
