Missy... good work. Don't think about surgery. Think about losing. Sometimes weight loss relieves the problem. Been there, done that. They wanted to operate January, 2013 and I said no and continued losing. Back rarely bothers me and see a chiropractor for adjustments.

My back was hurting before the weight came and my right hip is numb. They have been like this for 7 years. No matter if I was like 150 or 150 it has been horribly painful :(

WHOO HOOOO!! Keep it up!

I have the same problem, Missychick21, including the numb hip. Went to so many doctors before someone told me I have Facet Syndrome (an osteoarthritic condition.) Your mileage may vary of course -- a lot of things can cause back pain, and Facet Syndrome is far from the most common reason. However, I will tell you what's allowed me to return to having function: I started drinking something called Golden Milk every morning and adding powdered gelatin to it. I won't say I'm completely pain free, but it's manageable now, when before it wasn't. Recipe for making Golden Milk ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYCQb2YNGt4

Jenmacha-I have a herniated disc right above my tailbone, but thank you it is something worth looking into :)

It might be! Turmeric has wonderful anti-inflammatory properties. (And you can get it in pill form if you don't want to mess with a drink.)

Thank you Kedrake and Buffy :) It's probably not drinking soda....it's been 10 days and I have made sure not to have any on the house. I made myself a gallon if Iced Tea with Splenda to stay away from the sugar and there's much less caffeine than coffee! :)

Well done Missychick21. You should be psyched!

I am super psyched! I know it won't be like this every week but I will definitely take it when it happens :D

No matter how much or little a person loses, you're losing and that's all that matters. Keep up the good work on staying off the soda.

Talk about heaven. Your own veggies. Can't be beat. They'll taste even better because you grew them.

My daughter is so extremely excited about having our own garden too! Thought about getting her and my son their own little gloves and kid tools to help me :D

Have each one of your kids pick out a veggie they want to grow and that will be their special veggie to take care of. Taking care of one seems less pressing then, oh no, I've got to weed the garden. Let them weed around their veggie or veggies. It will help you out too. AND... go organic. No chemicals.

That could work with my 6 year old but probably not my 3 year old :)
