I’ve lost 37.2 pounds in the past 4.5 months. I don’t know if it’s slow or not, but of course, it feels like it. I have barely exercised and I only did that because I was stuck for a month between March and April. It didn’t help. I have about 27 pounds to go and I’m thinking it’s probably time to start. As someone who can’t afford a gym, where is a good place to start? Thank you!

I thought the same thing luckily for me I found Anytime Fitness. Roughly $40 a month isn't terrible. Compared to the money I was spending on horrible food. Figure spending a little now and you won't spend it on doctor's for our health. But initially I started with just walking at our local park as others pointed out it is free. Really just depends on how you are trying to rebuild your body.

I agree too, walking is a miracle-exersize. However,if you could afford it, exersizing equipment f.e. stationary bicycle is also effective. I', only saying that out of personal preference to indoors activities, for my own psychological reasons. You're halfway there! I admire your progress!

Walking. I suggest you take your measurements prior to starting your walking journey and you'll see how well walking takes off the inches all over!

Same was the other's walking, it's FREE. If the weather is bad you can always just walk in place, it's movement and gets the heart rate up into fat burning place.

I heard just the other day for people who aren't very active and have the TV on is to get up on the commercials and walk around until the end of the commercials. So 3 or 4 minutes every 15 to 20 minutes seemed like a good place for me to start getting active again

Walking! Also plenty of body-weight strength exercise videos out there too. No equipment except good shoes to walk in and a space you can put down a mat for some exercises at home. The exercise is not the best way to lose but helps a lot if you are sticking to watching your diet!

As others have said; walking is great or just working in your lawn is super! If you have a garden or can mow the lawn- that’s your wonderful gym. For walking, you might try intermittent walks, walking with weights, and varying distances. You may want to listen to a walking tape, your favorite podcast or book, or music calibrated for the bpm speed you want to achieve. All the best!

I used an in home app from leap fitness group that was good. all bodyweight stuff. different push ups and ab routines. pretty sure they'd be in the apple store too. walking is awesome too. get tons of hat at work. so I speed up my pace and Fitbit auto tracks it as exercise.

I bought some inexpensive resistance bands for under $20. Resistance bands are a great workout tool not only because they're super affordable, transportable and versatile, but because they can help target larger muscles as well as smaller stabilizing muscles. Mine even came with a wall chart with tons of different ways to use them. I also have some light hands weights but I use the bands regularly. Free exercise videos on YouTube. And finally Fiton has free fitness programs from 10 minutes and up. Roku has their app but available on Android and iOs too.

I belong to the YMCA. Fortunately my insurance pays my monthly fee. My YMCA has wonderful YouTube videos available to its member, I can work out at home using them. In person is better for me. I have purchased weights for at home use. I enjoy walking and running too. One needs to be creative and make it fun.

Walking is the best. Also, water-weight is always the first to drop off and that always drops off quite quickly. Then, the toning & firming have to be enacted. That's where the working-out comes in. Walking does build some muscle in the lower extremities, but total-body-workouts is what most women need/want. That's where aerobics & cardio comes in. Weight-lifting and machines are for showing-off one's strength(s). Heavy-weight lifting even moreso. Just like benching one's own body-weight or more is too. Do exercise that is good, not only for your body, for your mind & soul, but first of all the heart. The heart is your biggest, most important, strongest muscle you own. Stay on your diet, whatever that may be, stay focused, make beautiful/intelligent choices, be confident and strive for your goal(s) all ways. May God bless us all on our journeys...Amen

Amazon Prime and YouTube both have free workout videos. I find it easiest to search up the workout routines on my computer first and add them to my watchlist, so they're ready to go on the TV.
