Getting back on track from camping! I've noticed a change in me. I was just talking with a friend of mine about how happy that I am for this change in mindset.
In the past I have gone on vacation and enjoyed myself by not really being restrictive with my diet, come home and had a very hard time getting back on the wagon if I even actually got back on the wagon.

This time, I enjoyed myself - had some ice cream, burger, pizza etc. The whole time in the back of my mind I knew that as soon as I got back home it was game on! I knew that to be successful that it's ok to enjoy myself on vacation but how crucial it is to come home and immediately get back on track. I'm actually doing it! I'm so excited, I am feeling successful and not defeated. I am being intentional, I'm learning how to actually live this out. Before, I would get so upset at myself for eating poorly, feel defeated and then just allow my mind to keep me there while continuing to make bad choices. I would think well there that goes - and beat myself up over it while I have a slice of cake.
Now, I am happy to go have a great time camping but know that it's time to get back to business - my goal is long term, not short term. I'm in this for the rest of my life because I never want to gain this weight back again. I have to be intentional always! I have to put the effort in! I'm enjoying the process.
