First check-in of the new year after eating off-plan over the holidays. It appears that the 'damage' wasn't too bad, and I only gained ~5 pounds -- a small price to pay for being able to eat and drink freely with friends and family. Truth be told I was up much more -- but I waited a week before doing my first weigh-in so that I could shed the water weight and avoid a big spike on my history graph.
January is off to a good start. In addition to eating on-plan again I am also doing a Dry January (no alcohol). This has become a bit of a yearly tradition for me, and I find it is a good way to reset and re-evaluate my relationship to alcohol.
