You didn't brag??? Why not??? Did the doctor notice or make any comment??? Hope so. You've worked hard.

The last time I saw the doctor he commented on my weight loss. I told him all the things that had changed for me and what I had done. My bp was excellent and the threat of pre-diabetes was gone. He gave me a look too. It said "What are you doing picking my pocket?"

It's great that your doctor didn't bring up diet or exercise, but also good in a way that he/she would bring it up. I'm overweight with heart issues and my cardiologist has never mentioned it. I like him and think he's a good doctor but the closest he ever came was to say that lifestyle change is hard to do. It's up to me to do it and that's what I'm doing. Oh...and nice one on the .6 down too!

yes my first appointment back to the doc I lost close to 30lbs and I was actually insulted she didn't ask how I lost the weight... she shrugged and said well you have little ones so im sure its easy for you.. and I wanted to scream IVE BEEN WORKING MY A$$ OFF!

Awesome Chad! Did you get bloodwork done too? If you did, I will be curious to see some of your numbers.

I did indeed Brent. CR, I try not to brag about my success. I do post the photos to try to inspire others who want results like mine to make similar lifestyle changes to achieve them. And because people on here ask to see them, I like to motivate!

My doc didn't notice at first, then began keeping track. He said all his other patients did bariatric or the sleeve and there are only 2 of his patients who did it the "old fashioned way". Asked if it was okay if he gave my name out to anyone interested in doing it my way and said sure... You know how many calls I got, don't you???

The "old fashioned way"????????? Like eating right and exercising "the old fashioned" way???? Like, how you're SUPPOSED to do it??? hahaha

The way we're doing is considered old fashioned and outdated. And, God forbid, slow. Have 2 great nieces who did it and could lose 5lbs/week but never exercised. Encouraged them to get out and walk and got the "why should I do that when I'm already losing"? question.

Health is more than a number on the scale...tell them!

Too bad close to 20% of the 5 lbs./week is muscle. My picture is proof that you don't lose muscle mass doing it "the old fashioned way" hasn't anyone ever heard the old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it"?

Of course it's old fashioned and outdated. Anything that doesn't involve a doctor (who makes money off it) or big pharma (who makes money off it) is outdated. It's part of the 'Abuse yourself anyway you want... we'll make a pill for it," mentality.
