1000 is too low. puts you into starvation mode and body will conserve rather than expend. Up exercise if you can.

I agree 1000 is way too low. You'll end up gaining or stalling doing this.

You should never go BELOW 1,000 per day as your body will start to catabolize or "eat itself". I have found that 1200 - 1400 is a good range and you WILL LOSE WEIGHT at that level. I was at that level for 2 years - lost 68 pounds and THEN started exercising - LOL! I am now down a total of 72 pounds and at my goal weight. I am exercising 4 - 5 days a week, so it's 1700 per day for me.
1200 - 1400 will work.
