Gained another 20lbs in almost 1 month :( not good. Very embarrassed by this now...Went o Red Lobster with a good friend and coulnd even fit good in the booth :( Si scared because Friday I have to go to a close friend's graduaton and they dont know how much I have gained! What should I do? Kinda comtemplating on not going.

Go! It's important not to hide. That leads to emotional eating. Be there - enjoy yourself - eat consciously. If you download the app on your cell phone, it helps to track what you eat as soon as you put it in your mouth.

i can relate to this bc I stopped going alot of places bc I gained so much weight and i was so embarrassed bc I have always been thin. Don't make that mistake. I don't promote lying but you could always says its some meds your taking that caused side effects of weight gain and your working on losing the weight. I know alot of people wont agree with this advise but its better than missing something you really want to go to . We all had those embarrassing moments bc of our weight and its no one's business but your own. You can make something up or tell em the truth, what ever your comfortable with. And i apologize in advance if this advice is offensive to any one.. I just feel if you stop going out and to places you love with people you care about it will be so much harder to grab the bull by the horns and deal with it.. I didn't go any where for 2 yrs.. and just kept getting heavier and heavier and I dont want to see any one miss out on life like that. Once I started facing people it was easier for me to start to lose bc I cared about what my friends and family thought . Hang in there. Jump back on the wagon, grab the bull by the horns and take it one day at a time..

You need to go to their graduation; this is their time and if their your friend, you need to celebrate with them. Like Redgirl, I had avoided all sorts of social engagements because of my weight and one day I realized that these social engagements are for THEM and not ME. I had been selfish in making their celebration about me and how I felt about myself. If other people at these parties/engagements had an issue with me, it was their problem and not mine. I was no longer going to let how they perceive me, keep me from celebrating my friends achievements. The more outings that I would attend, the easier it was to say 'No, thanks' when it came to not eating party food too. Good luck!

You should go. You will feel worse if you dont. And youll be proud of yourself that you went through with it.
