I’m back from a two week vacation in the Dominican Republic. My wife and I had a great time – relaxing and reading on the beach, horseback riding, swimming, and eating/drinking stuff I am not supposed to (in moderation).
Looks like I am up 3.2 lbs in the two weeks – which is not so bad since at least some of that is likely retained water. As I said, the name of the game was moderation – slowly easing my way back into having carbs and limiting the number of tropical drinks I would have in a day. My wife and I also worked out at the resort gym everyday – running at least 5k (for a grand total of 50km during our trip). But even with all the ‘limiting’ we had a great time.
I did start to feel a bit out of control at the end – so it is back to introduction for me. I will resume doing what has worked so well for me in the past: tracking everything I eat and journaling.
