Diario di redwinelover, 25 mag 10

I hesitated for half a second about whether or not to record my weight this morning. Down a pound! From yesterday! This is amazing for me. Which is why I hesitated for that nanosecond to record it as I am probably a bit dehydrated and that's why. But you know, I'll take it. 'Cause it means I'm heading in that direction even if it's not a TRUE number. The only other reason I hesitated to record it is because it's another whole number and my scale weighs you in tenths of a pound. Yesterday's number was a whole number, too, so it's just interesting.
I'm feeling SO much more positive these days - almost giddy! Okay, not quite, but it feels like a black cloud is lifting and I don't even think I knew there was a cloud. And if so, if it's not just the typical ups and downs of the monthly cycle, then maybe - just maybe, those thyroid meds are beginning to work. : ) Now...what I have to do is not get on the scale tomorrow and end up depressed if it was just dehydration. AND...I'm going to the barn with my new friend down the street this morning and that's when I usually work out. I hope to still work out when I get home - we'll see. AND going camping again, so my routine is totally messed up again. At least when I go camping with my husband we hike. If I go with my daughter and her girlfriend, we sit around like slugs and do target practice or play cards! : )

Isn't it funny how we are always ready to record the gain but we hesitate to record our losses. Have a great time with your new friend! So glad you are feeling more positive today! You avoid your scale tomorrow and I will avoid mine...

You've got a deal! It was fun at the barn. She was showing me how to do ground exercises with her horse and she let me try it a few times, too : ) That's one of my goals - for my husband and I to own our own horses, so I figure you've got to learn before you own one, right? She was a sweetheart. We've gotten together a few other times with a couple other neighbors and so we've spoken several times, but this was the first one on one time and it was fun. We're close to the same age, so we have issues there (lol) and kids that refuse to really grow up yet, and a passion for horses, AND she watched LOST : )!!! Let's repeat this a few times....STAY off the scale tomorrow. STAY off the scale tomorrow... : )

Yay, you go girl! That's fantastic. I find I often weigh more if I'm dehydrated after imbibing a glass (or four) of wine the night before, so tend to ignore those days. _______________________ Going to the barn and hopefully getting some riding in has got to count as exercise, so don't beat yourself up about missed routines. You'll get back to it. Same with the camping / hiking: if last weekend is anything to go by, you'll burn way (almost typed weigh) more calories than staying home. _______________________ So glad you're feeling better: maybe it's the med's, maybe it's having a new friend (she sounds great) and looking forward to and planning the next phase in your life.
