Looking for super super cheap meals that wont kill my calorie budget. I'm a broke college student that's really trying to set myself up for a healthier lifestyle but having $48 in her bank account to last me 2 weeks isn't necessarily helping lol

I bought a package of breakfast sausages, bacon, cheddar and 2 dozen eggs which made 18 muffin tins filled with (18 eggs used). Good to microwave quickly and not overly expensive.

yes eggs and bacon is pretty cheap way to go. ground beef is pretty reasonable too. if you already have mayo some larger cans of salmon and tuna should be cheaper too

Can you eat beans? They pack a nutritional punch and are very satisfying, imo.

I remember being a broke college student. I remember going to the grocery store and buying potatoes because they-are-cheap for the calories. So, all I can add is: Young-People-Can-Burn-Some-Serious-Calories :) If I were in my 20s again I can just eat that potato, jog for an hour with my incredibly high metabolism, and burn it off and still lose weight :)

Hey thought I'd chime in..... cheapest is to purchase bouillon cubes or better option is a box of broths, any of these fresh veggies from time to time (ie. carrot bundles or baby carrots, baby kale leave bundles or baby spinach leaves, pack of peppers, mushrooms, celery stalks to chop), some fruits, oatmeal/oats, potatoes, tomatoes, beans, eggs and 1 or 2 meats (chicken or fish (tuna packed in water)) if possible. These will provide essential vitamins, your carbs to provide energy for workouts, proteins necessary for maintaining muscle tissues without breaking down any gains. Just attempt to stay away from large quantities and frequent use of breads, pastas, rices (unless long grain, dirty rice, or brown rice as these are healthier options), and cheeses to prevent weight gain. This list should provide you enough to maintain healthy eating on the cheap with many options to help prepare something different at meal times. Later if necessary add peanut butter or jams or salsas for something different. Hope this helps and good luck ! I'll be cheering for your success and money savings..... ;)
