I did it! I did it! I did it! Not goal weight, but now I am in the 130's! 35 lbs lost "officially" since 12/29 (add another 10 lbs from my highest ever weight about a year prior). I'm finally at that point where I don't look fat clothed :) and that makes me happy. Also, BMI scale shows I'm normal at 23.6 (but are notoriously inaccurate overall)and even on my Tanita body fat scale, I'm actually (barely)into the normal range. I went from barely into the obese range, to overweight to "normal" weight! So my official weight as of this morning is 139.8! I didn't think I'd ever see this number a year ago. Hell, I'll be honest, when I started this in Dec. I didn't think I'd see it, especially when it was so difficult to lose ONE pound (until the magical thyroid pills :). So yeah, I'm happy with myself today :)

I am sore, though! I used some flexall cream last night on my knees. My knees bug me every single day, but sometimes it's worse. I think the hour and 45 min. of working out for two days running might have something to do with it. I think I'll do only an hour today. Also my neck and upper back are sore - some the good kind, not so much the neck kind. I think I strained it a bit trying to watch how to do a couple of the ab moves while attempting to perform them at the same time. So now I'm 15 lbs from my goal weight. I think I'll be happy at that weight, especially since I'll continue working out. The lowest I've ever been as an adult is 119 and I liked the way I looked. I was pretty fit, but didn't have quite as much muscle going as I do right now, so I think I can carry the extra 5 or 6 lbs. And besides, I only weighed that for about five minutes! Lol...okay, maybe a few weeks. That was 8 years ago after doing Dr. Phil stuff and tearing out a few trees in the backyard and a few months of yard work. I'd lost 35 lbs then, too, and that was the most weight I'd ever lost other than having babies! So here's to losing the most weight not pregnant/delivering and may it stay off forever!

Good for you! That is so great! It's amazing when we start seeing results and realize we can really accomplish things. I am so happy for you!

Thanks, both of you! I guess that is the trick, huh? To continue doing what we do to get there...I'm just so glad I can see results. YES, Cathy! It's amazing when we see results for the hard work involved and I love this sense of accomplishment I'm feeling. Thanks for being happy for me! I've wondered many times now if I'd been treated for thyroid at the beginning of this journey if I'd have learned so much, and if I'd be such a workout fanatic. I doubt it, so as many times as I'd "wished" I'd have been able to lose weight at this rate from the beginning (I'd be two pounds from goal!), I think I needed to learn stuff. Thanks for the boost, ladies! :)

Well, there is one more piece of corroborating material supporting the idea that, in fact, I am clairvoyant! Do you want to know what else I see? ;-) Congratulations redwinelover and keep up the outstanding work!

hehe. In general, I can only see the good side of things. On another note, if your knees are hurting you that badly, the running can't be helping much there. Perhaps you should back away from it completely for a time. There's no rush, now that you are in the 130s, you are unstoppable! :-)

I am SO happy for you D: big BIG congratulations on that getting into the 130's: a virtual, and metaphorical glass of champagne (okay, a nice red wine) is being lifted right now (actually it's a cup of coffee; bit early in the day for me to be tippling). __________________________ Hope your knees are feeling better: maybe just do the upper body for a day to let them recover? Do you do the low-impact version of the aerobics? Though - with your level of fitness - that won't be nearly challenging enough. Perhaps you could think about adding a stationary bike to your gym room? Some years ago I lost lots of weight - and got very fit - cycling to / from work. It was perfect: down hill or on the flat all the way in, then against the prevailing wind and up hill home, and I had no knee problems at all. Such a shame we couldn't ski that winter!
