After four months, my weight stubbornly remains within the 230-240 pounds range. At least I'm not close to 500 pounds anymore. Nevertheless, my body composition undergoes continual transformation, largely attributed to muscle development. I meticulously track everything I consume and maintain a slight calorie deficit. It's time to refrain from weighing myself for a few months as it has become mentally taxing. Instead, I'll gauge my progress by the fit of my clothing.

How tall are you, what is your body comp? You may be very close to where you need to be? Bfp?

@Yearofhealth2023 - 6ft 1in. There is still lots of fat, not skin, I can grab on various parts of my body. It will just take time to get the last 20 to 30 pounds off the body. Too bad fat loss is not a linear function.

@buenitabishop - Yep, a tick bite....lots of inflammation...prednisone equated to substantial weight gain.

You look AMAZING! So fit! I’m taking a small break from counting calories this week and weekend. I need a mental break from it. Plus, coming off of a steroid treatment from severe sinus/ear infection. (Ready to get my body back, steroids have perks AND downfalls). Will still measure some food items though. I only weigh once a week. Will go back to tracking when I food prep Sunday. Keep up the good work! 😁

Ok so i can see 20-30 pounds at 6’1. Fortunately you look fantastic but i get it, you will feel better and your body will function better at a lower bfp. I have discovered my face looks better at a slightly higher weight but my body feels better at a lower weight. Such is the problem in the 6th decade. Small price to pay tho for feeling well.

you did fantastic. sometimes you reach a spot to where you are building muscle and losing fat. muscles weighs also. you look fantastic and I bet you feel great. I'm starting over. I can kick myself for it. good luck but 250#s at 6'1" is doing pretty darn good.

You are looking very fit. I understand about the scale. I started weighing about every 10 days- 2 weeks. I was obsessing when I weighed every day.

What??? You used to weigh 500 lbs and now you don’t even look like you weigh 230 lbs, and look like you weigh well under 200, because you are tall and lift weights? I never would have guessed 230 lbs, let alone having used to weigh 500!!!

I get so discouraged too when I get on the scale and see the same numbers over and over with no loss. I do the same thing !!! My clothes tell me how I’m doing. I weigh in ONCE a month now….sometimes once every TWO or THREE months.

In the good old days when I could weigh whenever I wanted, I learned to weigh no more than once a week on Wednesday morning after my constitution and before any consumption. Wednesdays eliminated the weekend weirdness of anticipation freak-out or food plan recovery. I also increased the number of weeks between weighing's based on my goal weight. The closer I got to my goal the less often I weighed because the slower the weight came off. It was more important to my mental health to see the same pounds lost each time than to incur the frustration of knowing what I weighed at any given moment.

Oh, my gosh! you look wonderful! don't live by the scale...you are right! if you think there is a special shirt or pants you THINK you are interested in, try them on as a goal. But, gee, with those biceps, you're not going to find a medium or large shirt that will fit! You're in great shape. if your buttons won't close, work on the buttons. If a zipper won't zip, work on closing the zipper. Sometimes just 2 or 3 lbs is just the ticket. Really, though, absolutely awesome job!

Yeah. I agree. At your stage, weight is not an issue. Being healthy, feeling healthy and looking healthy... you got this nailed.
