Deuce and a quarter!

The more I think I understand my body, the less I know about it.

I finally broke through the 235-240 pound plateau by eating an additional 300-400 calories per day, limiting the consumption of cured meats to once per day (to limit the intake of salt), doing multiple reps of deadlifts at 410 pounds, and performing multiple reps of leg presses at 1000 pounds.

The result is a 10-15 pound loss over the past 5 weeks, more muscle growth, and overall less fat on my body.

At 1800-2000 calories, my body assumed it was in starvation mode and was holding on to as much energy as it could despite my workouts. By eating more food, my metabolic system can work more effectively. Oh well, I don't have any aversion to eating more food.

You pretty boy. Impressive numbers. Just curious, how high do you think your heart rate gets on those leg presses?

Also what form did the extra calories take? And did you initially gain when you started adding more calories? Im around 12-1300 per day to maintain but would so love to eat more. Im hungry so often. Also in adrenal failure which affects metabolism.

@Yearofhealth2023 - My heart rate seldom elevates when I am lifting (according to my smartwatch). I do a lot of controlled breathing when I'm lifting. There is strain and resistance but hardly ever any exertion. No, I started to lose weight because I figured out I was having too much salt. Excessive sodium causes water retention, so I was losing both fat and excess water. My extra calories are in the form of protein (animal flesh). I don't take any supplements that are sold to bodybuilders. My body has the ability to convert nutrients into amino acids to aid in the repair of muscles.

@Yearofhealth2023 - And I'm at the point I want to remove all of excess skin. It's a mess under my shirt. I'm thinking of taking the month of December off for surgery and healing.

What state are you in WM? We have talked about the skin removal before i think and i would urge you to be very very careful in whom you choose. As in not all surgeons are created equally. After all, there are a ton of NBA players but only one Michael Jordan (i now im dating myself but still true). Your legs look fantastic tho from this pic so if it’s a mess under the shirt and thats the only messy part you got very lucky. I look really good from head to hips which is what my surgeon addressed, but i didnt address the loose skin on my legs and while i look great in clothes in a bikini it’s something else. So i do understand. My surgeon (i think i may have shared with you previously) is SIAMAK Agha in Newport Beach, ca. he is very spendy but this is for the rest of your life. He posts most of his surgeries on instagram including some of the graphic stuff so you can start looking to give yourself an idea of what is involved. Depending on how in depth you are going be prepared for at least 30 days of recovery before back at work. Just my un-asked for and very bossy opinion. You do look really pretty im very happy for you.

@Yearofhealth2023 - I'm in Texas. Yes, I do realize there are many skill levels to consider. I know a couple of people who had this surgery and have been discussing the topic with them.
