Ugh, I am so frustrated with myself. I know what I should and shouldn't do, but sometimes I get a craving, and think, 'I am stressed, I have a lot going on, so why not?' Then the next weigh in I learn why not....Because 5 pound is 5 pounds that's why! I spend a week getting rid of it, and 2 days to gain it back. So, I need to remember, 11 months, 60 pounds, I can do this. Pick myself, and start again.

I said it a few days ago, but this site holds me accountable. I can see how bad I am doing, or how good I am doing. When I have a challenge to encourage me, then I am not focused on what I want to eat, I focus on what I need to complete that challenge. If I can't hold myself accountable, then I need something to help me. It really is the key.

Have you leaned to eat what keeps you feeling full? When I discovered how to eat and not be hungry the cravings were way easier to battle.

Adamevegod1 - I am trying to figure that out. Being vegan, and mostly gluten free, I choose to eat more vegetables, which doesn't fill me up for a long time. Plus, especially now, with the high season for work, many times I grab and eat what I can, instead of being particular. I end up exhausted from a 12-13 hour day, and go easy instead of smart. But I HAVE to focus and figure out the best way to lose the weight. It has never been more important for me to figure out the best way to move forward.

I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but I find that foods that are low glycemic will keep you full much longer. I try to prepare my meals the day before, so I can hit the door running. I will bake carrots, and sweet potato...and divide them into individual servings. I generally do this Sunday evening for a five day supply. I steer clear of high glycemic food because they ALWAYS make me deadly hungry. I try to eat six times a day, hence the prepackaged stuff. I eat 10 almonds 3 times a day, non fat, unsweetened, no flavor yougurt twice a day, a half apple twice a day. A can of reduced sodium black beans for lunch. I love cabbage and carrots for lunch. But I have to have meat. Daily for breakfast I eat 2 Tblsp of chia seeds, 2 boiled eggs, 1.5 oz blue berries, 5 oz skim milk, and 1.5 oz Kashi cereal. My breakfast is always the same. I only drink black unsweetened coffee and water. I eat no white bread, little pasta, then it has to be whole wheat, and as many veggies as I want. Hope this helps a little.

Dunno how certain foods affect your medical conditions. Are you eating vegan specifically to help with medical problems? Because if the food doesn’t matter in that regard I would suggest just eating a variety of foods you enjoy, why force yourself to eat vegetables when you don’t like them?! That’s going to only cause problems. Eat some protein dense nutritional filling foods have leaner cuts of meat like pulled pork in bbq sauce or sirloin or whatever, chicken and turkey. If the veggies aren’t meeting your calorie needs either and it’s causing too large of a deficit, that’s also going to make hunger happen easier leading to more cravings because your body basically needs to be filled up. Like adamevegod1 said, yogurt, Greek yogurt is a very thick and protein dense, put some sugar free chocolate syrup in there and it is like a dessert, I do that with Fage 0%. For example. Just find foods you enjoy and eat those throughout the day when you get hungry, fill up with water between meals, and then make sure you stay in a deficit of calories that aren’t too low and you’ll be ok.

Deadpool - I eat vegan because I love animals and I disapprove of the way animals are treated on factory farms. Also, I never said I dont like vegetables, I actually love vegetables. I eat them often. I just have to plan things better while preparing them. A salad for every meal gets boring. When it comes to gluten/wheat that is more medical, but it doesn't cause pure distress, it just causes a little pain, so as much as I try to avoid it, I don't always. I really just need to plan my meals better, and stop eating chips or crap instead of eating meals.

Adamevegod1 - Yes Sundays is how I used to do it when I ate meat. I probably should prepare the food on the day I purchase it - which would be Saturdays and Wednesdays - It is hard to keep veggies fresh a long time. As I told Deadpool - and both of you have provided me with 'food for thought' :) - I will take all of the info into consideration - and I will plan better. Thank you both very much.

Oh yeah for some reason when I read the post I thought you said you didn’t like eating vegetables. Makes more sense now. They do make those veggie chips/straws, which are usually pretty tasty and low calories also
