Good morning on this fine day. Some lessons learned on my aches and pains, I discovered that adding banana is helping. I remembered that during my hospital stay, while they were trying to get my electrolytes back in balance - I was often low on potassium. I am trying to add them in where I can in the menu - but they are high carb little guys so balance is the key. Everything seems like it is working ok with the reduced insulin, I have noticed that my pancreas is really inconsistent by watching my morning numbers. I seriously think he is just a slacker. Today is also my 24th anniversary - I am blessed to have married an amazing woman who is the yin to my yang. I wish everyone a fantastic day on their journeys.

thanks Momma6224 - it is amazing how much better I feel getting things back on track. had no idea that having my blood glucose out of whack would effect so many things.

Spinach, Swiss chard, sweet potato, yogurt, black beans, butternut squash, edameme, canned salmon, beets and watermelon are high sources of potassium. Adding some of these could help keep it up and add some variety.

Great tips - thanks Coachkitty - I do eat a lot of those as well but hadn't considered the "K" value. I will be incorporating them more often as well.

Beet greens to add to Coach Kitty's list. My old CW4 (he was 49YO to my 19) used to eat a banana after PT runs. He said it helped with aches and pains. That was 1985....seems to still work. Keep at it and good luck.

My dh is a chopper pilot and every single one of them eats a banana every morning. FYI, tea also has potassium in it. Enjoyed your post this morning. Happy anniversary!

Beet greens are the absolute best greens, next are radish greens, best kept two little secrets.
