Had surgery on 8/5 and gained a few pounds and then last minute had to have major surgery because of cancer on 8/26 and gained up to approximately 206. Today I’m down and it’s been a week from that surgery. Still pain and bloating, but managing without much. What sucks is I’m not able to workout for 6-8 weeks. Only walking so calorie deficit will be very important. At this time though my weight isn’t a huge concern anymore. My vitals during recovery was really great. My heart rate was 50-60’s, blood pressure was great, and blood sugar normal. My goal for weight loss was not taking meds for diabetes. Now though I have cancer I’ll tackle this with the same conviction and focus as I did when I had diabetes. The nurse even commented my heart rate was the same as athletes. Working out a lot has made my heart strong and hopefully my recovery equally as strong. I still want to continue to track my weight and journal.
