Another pound down. Must be the huge weight off my shoulders!
I've talked about the play I'm doing in June several times, but I don't know if I mentioned I'm writing as well as producing it (producing is the larger and harder task by far). The thing is, I would rather gouge my eyes out with rusty spoons than sit down and stare at a blank page. Well, my deadline for getting the rough draft of the script to the rest of my team went whooshing by on February 1st, and I've been miserably pressing my nose to the grindstone since.
Last night, I pulled an all-nighter, shackled myself to my keyboard, and pushed out the last quarter of the beast. It's out at the beta-readers now, and I'm biting my fingernails waiting for their notes (anyone know how many calories I should log for that?)
Still, it's great to know it's done and over with, and now I can concentrate on the (harder) part of the job I love, getting all the actors and crew and props and costumes and set pieces and publicity materials made and together and in the same place at the right time. Wish me luck!

Down and down the numbers go!
I have a new mini-goal. My overall goal is to fit into my costume for my play in June (spandex jumpsuits are very unforgiving). But on the weekend of April 1st-3rd, I'll be seeing not one, but two out-of-town exes. We're on good terms, but who doesn't like a bit of "here's what you're missing out on"? The trip lines up with where I should be on my progress of about 2/3rds of the way to the overall goal, so that's the plan. 175 by April 1st. One new piece of motivation to avoid cravings and stay with it.

It was a rough week, scale-wise, after the big birthday blowout. Now that I'm finally seeing exciting progress again, I just need to keep in mind that this does not give me permission to cheat again, it gives me motivation NOT to cheat. The thrill of seeing a new lower number every time I step on the scale is much, much better than the dopamine blast a sugary carb-laden treat would give me for a few seconds.
I keep my scale in the bathroom and step on it every time I'm in there just to marvel at how low the number is throughout the day. I know the number fluctuates, but the whole range of fluctuations is so much lower than where I started it amazes me. Does anyone else do this?
