I am a 46 yr old Type 2 Diabetic who has been in denial for several years now. I have decided that I need to be get control of everything in my life beginning with the weight lose and getting my health in check.

Mom and I are doing Atkins together, so it is great to have built in support. For several years now I have yo-yoed and turned to food after my divorce 3 yrs ago. It is time to take control.


I started on Atkins on August 27, 2010 and already seeing a drop in my morning blood sugars. On Lantus at night and controlling daytime with diet. I am not one to exercise other than what I get at the hospital taking care of patients.
