Health issues have me so messed up.....tired of living with pain 24/7. The nerve block worked for one week. Pain is back and most days it's a 10. Hate to sound so whiny, but I have a list of conditions and each causes pain in another part of my body....WTH! And now I'm dealing with, once again, unexplained hives/rash that are driving me nutz. If I take Benadryl, with the meds I take, I will be asleep most of the day, and I don't want that. Tried 1/2 dose and I don't fall asleep...nor do the hives stop. I really needed this. I'm whining again. Guess it's just one of those days....anyone wanna whine, just add your's here.
Praying that tomorrow is a better day.

Seems when I fall off the wagon, I tend to stay there a couple of days! Two days of mindless eating and 3 lbs back on. It started with celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary....so, I'm gonna blame this all on dh :o) . Nah, he's a good guy, can't do that to him.
I wish I could decide which WOE I want to follow. LCHF makes sense to me after reading up on it and listening to Dr Fung. But it's such a completely, almost opposite way of thinking, from what I've done all my life. Always went with low fat products; butter was the devil! But, butter is deeeeelish, when I can coat a toasted bagel with it! But, now that I can have that butter, I can't have the bagel! Seems like a silly, earth-shaking problem in the scheme of things. But, not so for one who always considered herself a carb-slut.
Need to figure out what I am doing...in the mean time, I better hit the water bottle today!

Gained 1/2 lb...or it's water....or it's from experimenting with a WOE. I need to decide which WOE I am going with as it's obvious I can't switch from day to day from my own diet to LCHF .... it won't work.
Have a great weekend.....it's a scorcher here, so this gal is staying with the AC.

Hey community!
Not good .... woke up 2-3 hours too early with peanut butter heart burn! I tripped into the jar late last night with a couple of pieces of protein/fiber bread. My week has been a mix to experimentation and some trip-ups and some enlightenment. I WI tomorrow morning....not sure I want to and might not....that scale still has such power over me.
Yesterday I had a spinal epidural...out patient at my local hospital. Love when they put you out....that feeling of take a deep breath and you feel yourself floating away!!! (ahhhh, brings me back to my "flower child days of the 60's!!! LOL ) This appointment was made before I took my fall in the house. I have a few spinal conditions which leave me in pain every day....just the severity changes.
My appt was at 2 pm, so I fasted about 11 hours before the procedure. When I woke up in the recovery area they gave me a small juice. Got home and had my coffee...this is what I missed the most. And I didn't eat and had no appetite till 8 pm when I made a egg white feta greek omelet and 1/2 avocado. So it was, if I figure it correctly, an 18 hour fast. If someone said I could fast that long I wouldn't think I could. Not sure why I wasn't 'starving'....I wasn't even hungry. I'll leave that for you guys so much more educated on the body to figure out why. :)
It's supposed to be the hottest and most humid of weekends here....stay hydrated! Which comes to mind, I have finally been drinking water. Sounds like such a simple task, but one that I always found impossible to do. Only water I took was sips to take meds. Now poor dh is tired of lugging up bottles of water!!! I think that's a good thing...well, for me.

Hey community, hope your day was a good one! Mine was a day of experimentation. I'm sure I tried the Atkins diet somewhere along the line...probably have some books too. But I don't recall trying to maintain %'s of fat, protein, carbs. I didn't do bad for a first day try.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meals today. It was a bit of effort to do some cooking...but easy cooking. Threw a frozen chicken breast in some seasoned water and fried up some bacon.
I'm actually full and do not feel hungry at all. But I got into the habit of eating a Power Crunch protein bar every night, as I told myself I needed the 'chocolate fix'. So I'm sitting here fighting the urge go get that fix. It's amazing how we can form ridiculous habits. Oh, yes, and the nightly cherry eating contest with dh!! Passed on that one....and $6 a pound, probably a good idea!
Ah-ha.....will I have the 'power' over the Power Crunch bar! Stay tuned!!!!
